NAD C320BEE Integrated Amplifier: GoodSound!’s Product of the Year for 2005

Budget-minded audiophiles all over the world know about the NAD C320BEE integrated amplifier -- it’s the worst-kept secret in affordable audio. Rated conservatively at 50Wpc and retailing for $399 USD, the C320BEE easily competes with other units rated at twice that power output and costing a whole lot more.

Though the C320BEE’s styling is plain and its frills are few, it’s an integrated amplifier anyone could love -- for its dependability, its consistency, and its continual eagerness to please. In my November 2005 review, I concluded that "The C320BEE epitomizes the entry-level audiophile component: Unlike with Honda’s Civic, there is no equivalent of Toyota’s Corolla to compete with it in its category. The NAD’s level of performance for $399 makes it one of a kind."

Buy the BEE with pride. Whatever features NAD may have omitted will soon be forgotten in favor of what this amplifier delivers to its owner: pure, unadulterated fun. And that makes it a perfect choice for GoodSound!’s Product of the Year for 2005.
